Cape L'Agulhas

Date: 27-03-2017
(Added: 27-03-2017)

You maybe think, that Cape of Good Hope is the southernmost point of Africa, but this is not true. It's Cape d'Agulhas, a place only a few hours by car east from CapeTown.  L'Agulhas is the place, where Atlantic and Indian Ocean meet. It's a fantastic place, because even if it's geographical important, it's absolutely not crowded. We stayed there overnight and visited the shipwreck and the lighthouse also.

Boulder Beach Penguin Colony

Date: 15-02-2017
(Added: 27-03-2017)

On our trip through South Africa we visited the penguins of Simon's Town. It is a big colony, and the are very friendly. Penguins are birds, that cannot fly on their own. If they want to fly, they have to take a plane, like me.

If you want to visit the penguins, you should come early. If you come late, there are many chinese visitors and the penguins are annoyed and hide behind the rocks or go swimming. Seems, they do not like Chinese.

Siena is a city in Tuscany (Italy). We went to Tuscany by our own car from Vienna. It was a 9 hour drive but Tuscany is a very nice place, so it was worth it. We stayed in a small hotel in the middle of vineyards in Greve in Chianti.

We took a walk through the historic centre of Siena, that has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritag Site.

The Mandarin Oriental is one of the most famous hotels in the world. And the Authors's Lounge is a place, where famous writers (Noël Coward, James Michener, Somerset Maugham, Joseph Conrad and many others) been before. It was closed for renovation and re-opened a few weeks before we arrived in Bangkok.

It's a perfect place for an afternoon tea. I was there with my buddy Sepp. He lived in Bangkok for a long time and changed to Chiang Mai recently. Watch out his Facebook page "Sepp - Bangkok Entdecker".

Food is absolutely delicious and the location is great!

The Singapore Botanic Gardens is over 150 years old. It's the only tropical garden, to be honored as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.and it has been ranked Asia's top park attraction. It's huge, you walk about 2 hours from one side to the other, but I didn't had to walk (haha!). There is no entrance fee (you only have to pay for watching the orchids).

Hi, folks! I love to be on a plane! And I love it even more, when I have a seat on my own. Sometimes planes are fully booked and cramped, and I have to stay in the overhead compartment. But often I'm lucky to have a seat, a seatbelt, a cushion and my own screen, where I can watch movies.

I love Singapore! There is so much to see and to do. One place, that is very enjoyable, is Sentosa Island. It's all about having fun. You can go to the beach, in museums, they have rollercoaster, a Hard Rock Café, a Madame Tussaud's and many other things.
