Last weekend we visited Prague zoo. It's located north of the center. It's easy to get there with the Metro and changed to bus nr. 112.  You should have plenty of time, because the zoo is huge (60 hectares). They show 4.400 animals of 690 species (says wiki). It's in a nice landscape with natural hills and creeks. In 2007 Forbes Traveler Magazine listed Prague ZOO as the 7th best Zoo in the world.

Petrin-Funicular was opened in 1891 and closed during world war I. It was re-opened in the 1980s. It has three stops and can be used with normal tickets of the Prague metro and tramway. The top-level-station is on Petrin hill. From there you have a good view over Prague and you also can walk to Prague Castle.

I was at the Budweiser Brewery in České Budějovice, where I learned many interesting facts:

Budweiser beer is only brewed and bottled in České Budějovice.
It's been shipped to 50 countries all over the world.
They only use fresh czech hops, no granulate.
Budweiser is a nationalized enterprise.
